CSOS is the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Controlled Substance Ordering System (CSOS) that allows for secure electronic transmission of controlled substance orders without the supporting paper Form 222. The adoption of CSOS standards is the only allowance for electronically signing and transmitting orders for Schedule I (CI) and II (CII) controlled substances.

Before using your personal CSOS Certificate, all four of the DEA’s CA Certificates must be installed. Installing the DEA’s CA Certificates allows your computer to trust your personal CSOS Certificate. Begin installation here

DSCSA

The Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) outlines steps for an interoperable and electronic way to identify and trace certain prescription drugs at the package level as they are distributed in the United States. This helps prevent harmful drugs from entering the U.S. drug supply chain, detect harmful drugs if they do enter the supply chain and enable rapid response to remove harmful drugs from the supply chain to protect patients.
